Current PhD Studies with Dr. Jeffrey Yuen
Dr. Jeffrey C. Yuen derives from two seas of directly transmitted knowledge: First, he is 88th generation inheritor of the Jade Purity Yellow Emperor Lao Zi School- his teacher being his adopted grandfather (Master Yu Wen) with whom he lived to the age of 108. Master Gong, who served as an apprentice to the imperial Qing Dynasty physicians, a friend of Master Yu, taught Jeffrey herbal medicine. Master Yu Wen , satisfied with the transmission of knowledge and Jeffrey’s inculcation therefrom, allowed him to start treating patients when he was 16 years old. Dr. Yuen is also 26th generation inheritor of the Complete Reality Dragon Gate School, by way of Master Lu Xin-Xu.
Dr. Yuen trained extensively under many eminent martial arts masters. His teachings often involve Qi Gong and Tai Chi prescriptions to be used therapeutically for specific conditions.
Dr. Yuen is Dean of Academic Affairs for the Swedish Institute School of Acupuncture and Oriental Studies (NY). He also teaches for the state-approved doctoral program offered by the American University of Complementary Medicine in Los Angeles.
